Artist Statement

Connie Kirkpatrick is an art historian and artist who lives in the foothills Calgary, AB. She grew up in Barrie, ON and has had a lifelong interest in painting and drawing.

Driving along the rocky mountain highway she came across some bears feeding who were so intensely immersed in their activity that she was able to photograph them without their noticing.

Connie enjoys the different juxtapositions of colors to create an expressionistic effect, whether landscapes, wildlifes or figures.
